Only when it rains does the sidewalk drip into the glue
Only when it shines does the grass sing a sweet brand-new
Only when it blows can the leaves cut the ice we walk through
Only when it glows can the sun burn holes in the ocean, see blue.
Only when they sing does the moon shimmer with no fear or dread
Only when they king do the rooks move in the bishops' stead
Only when they ring can the bells at least attempt to wake the dead
Only when they glow do the stars become a liquid light, see red.
Only when he tries does the world fold up and become more mellow
Only when he sees can the past wave a sweet goodbye and the present a chipper "hello"
Only when he knows can he do anything about the fact, deep voice does bellow
Only when he glows can he truly know what it's like, see yellow.
Only when she moves does the world move with her, and she makes the scene
Only when she forces can the others look beneath the glean
Only when she surrenders will she loose her wit so keen
Only when she glows can the music jump a decibel, see green.
If only I could set my sights on the rain falling to eyes, would I see brown.
But it may be more possible than I think.
